when you're stricken with cancer it only means one thing: death is coming sooner than it should. up to this point the cure for cancer, if there will be any, has not been unearthed yet. imho, the preventive measures and supposed treatments are just a waste of time, energy, and colossal amounts of money. you might think this presumption is just sourgraping about what happened to my mom. i've said this before and i will say it again: cancer is a traitorous bitch. i've seen enough unfortunate cancer patients that even if i didn't want to, i have proven this claim to myself over and over again.
Stand Up To Cancer is aiming for the homerun, amassing donations which will benefit the research for the ultimate cancer cure. it's the biggest i've seen so far [or is it One.Org?], supported by a powerhouse cast of different hollywood celebrities.
sounds ambitious to me, but it wouldn't hurt to believe that it is where "The End Of Cancer Begins". with technology pacing forward as each new generation evolves, it would not be impossible to finally find the antidote to the killer disease [in the next 100 years or so LOOOOOOL] especially if it gains support bigger than it already has.
